Media 100 recently released an OS X version of its wide-ranging set of effects plug-ins, Final Effects. The collection of more than 100 software filters and transitions is compatible with NLE systems supporting the After Effects plug-in interface standard, including those from Avid, Adobe, Apple, and of course, Media 100. Particle filters are at the heart of the package, generating effects that replicate the behavior of substances from fire to liquid mercury.
