Projector price drop

An Epson projector recently received a contrast tweak and a price break. Contrast on the PowerLite TW100 jumped from 600:1 to 800:1, and the price tag dropped $500. Introduced almost a year ago, the TW100 is a native wide XGA projector (1280×720) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. With typical brightness of 700 ANSI lumens, the projector relies on three LCDs (red, green, and blue) and a 150W UHE lamp with a life of about 3,000 hours. A Faroudja DCDi chip eases conversion from interlaced to progressive. The TW100 is designed to be versatile, with five different color modes: Dynamic (default), Theater, Natural (user-adjustable), PC, and SRGB.
