MINNEAPOLIS---Ciprico, a leading provider of storage and system solutions to the broadcast industry, will be showcasing their newest solutions at NAB 2004. This year, Ciprico will introduce its serial ATA (SATA) storage products--DiMeda 1700 (NAS) and FibreSTORE 2212A (SAN)--as part of a broadcast and post-production digital media workflow in its technology suite at the Las Vegas Hilton (Suite #564, East Tower).

By using SATA drives, Ciprico has significantly reduced the price point of its products while capitalizing on its history of producing high-performance products for the broadcast and post-production industries. Ciprico will also have several products on display on the show floor in reseller and OEM partner booths.

For NAB 2004, Ciprico will be introducing its new serial ATA product, FibreSTORE 2212A. Ciprico's latest offering features a 2 Gb Fibre Channel RAID with cost-effective serial ATA drives, providing an affordable, robust alternative for demanding post-production applications. Featuring Ciprico's core Accelerated Drive Teaming (XDT) technology, FibreSTORE 2212A combines hardware and software to render files reliably without compromising performance or risk of losing critical data. FibreSTORE 2212A will be showcased as part of a high-definition production and playback workflow in its technology suite at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Also featured at NAB 2004 will be Ciprico's award-winning DiMeda 1700. Combining Ciprico's high-performance NAS software with the latest Gigabit Ethernet and serial ATA drive technology, DiMeda 1700 won a prestigious STAR "best-of-show" award at the 2003 International Broadcasters Association (IBC) Exhibition and Conference held in Amsterdam last fall. Since then, DiMeda 1700 has been enhanced with greater capacity, faster performance, and additional fault tolerance--without an increase in price. The DiMeda 1700 product provides a compact, complete storage system ideal for sharing content between multiple video editing workstations and applications. Ciprico will be demonstrating how DiMeda can enhance the digital media workflow for both standard and high definition video production and broadcast environments in its technology suite, as well as in Comprompter's booth (C9125) with its partner, Video Technics.

"We are very excited to be showcasing our serial ATA offerings at NAB this year," said Rich Vignes, Director of Marketing for Ciprico. "In our technology suite at the Las Vegas Hilton, we're able to provide our customers with a personalized preview of our latest products for broadcast workflows. Additionally, our presence on the show floor in our partner booths--like Sony and Chyron--gives us a unique opportunity to demonstrate how our storage solutions can simplify and accelerate digital media workflows for our customers."

Ciprico products will account for more than 50 TB of centralized and direct attached storage as part of integrated displays in several partner exhibits on the show floor: Sony (SL2769K, SU11051), Chyron (C4742), Comprompter (C9125), and Digital Rapids (SL2466). Leading broadcast organizations such as Grass Valley Group/Thomson and SGI will also incorporate Ciprico solutions as part of their exhibits. Workflow demonstrations will be conducted in each of the partner booths, as well as in Ciprico's technology suite at the Las Vegas Hilton. More information is available at www.ciprico.com.
